Re: Need help choosing spec

Just stay frost and take fire for Tectus Mythic. If you are used to frost and like it, don't bother changing. Frost is stronger except like Komma said on some specific fights.

In BRF, using the current information, all 3 specs will be viable so might aswell stick to what you love to play.

Re: Does anyone use Kindling?

Seeing some of your posts I am pretty sure I would rely a lot more on Komma's info then yours

Going with Kindling / IF / LB tonight on our first night Tectus Mythic. Looking forward to that after Brackenspore ;)

Re: Fire Trinkets

So would you then aim for Mythic Shards and Mythic Runestone and get rid of the 2 BoE trinkets?

We have Twins Mythic on farm so I have access to Shards to get the above combination.

Re: Fire Trinkets

About trinkets for fire mages, what would be the ideal combination of trinkets at the moment? I've been checking some top parses from fire mages and saw them use Sandman's Pouch T3 and Copelands. Running with Mythic Quiescent Runestone (HM mission) and Copelands myself but could just spend some gold...

Re: 1/12 Hotfix

Hmmmm not sure what I think about this. If it's only a 1% difference I guess it doesn't matter much.

Would this make Kindling more viable?

Re: Blast Wave vs. Living Bomb

Yeah you are correct, should have made the difference between the difficulties. On heroic and normal you can stand under the blue shrooms for quite a while :)

Re: When did you begin playing a mage?

Started a mage early TBC, raided T4 until T12 with it.

T13 on Spriest.

T14 and T15 on druid as resto.

Switched during T16 from resto back to mage and will be raiding mage this exp.

Re: Blast Wave vs. Living Bomb

On Brackenspore Mythic blue mushrooms aren't up that long since healers need their healing power for green shrooms and general healing (in my experience so far, we are still progressing there). I go with blastwave on that fight because of the quick damage on the spore shooters / fungus (if needed) a...

Re: How big should my Ignites be?

Anecdotal statements don't prove anything. It sounds like you want to be fire so you should probably just go with that. ^^ This And for the record I wasn't stating that fire is better then other specs, just that with better gear the gap closes and, unless you are in a real minmax situation, you can...

Re: Item Level vs. Stats

Just take the higher iLevel gear. In Highmaul the crit gear is limited but I do try to at least have all those pieces.

Re: How big should my Ignites be?

Yeah I was hesitant to buy it since I already spend 300k on gear before the trinket, but when it dropped sub 100k I got it and haven't regret it since ;)

Re: How big should my Ignites be?

Yeah no need to go fire at all. However fire isn't that much behind anymore and with execution you can make up more then class balance can ruin :)

I really enjoy fire atm and noticing big improvement since I got to 665 ilvl and Copelands Clarity.

Re: Welcome to AT! Who are you? (Self Intro Thread)

Hi all, Gnomecuddler here. Been lurking these forums for a while so figured I might as well register.

Been playing mage since TBC. First on server Darksorrow and now on Tarren Mill for a while.

Raiding always as fire even in these desperate fire times :P

Re: Is fire good yet?

We are 6/7 heroic atm and I raid as fire. Not that fun on fights like Butcher and Brackenspore, but Twins was okey and so was Tectus :)
