Re: Things they could have done to the Mage mount
I turned up the particle effects and now I actually don't mind this mount. I do with some of the OPs suggestions were implemented (especially the water strider bit), but overall I've accepted our fate. I do appreciate how small the mount is; it never blocks objectives or NPCs like some of the others.

Hey Herux! I'm just seeing this and want to say -- what a fantastic write up! I've just started looking at doing more than my weekly +15/16 and this has been very informative. Thanks for the work and formatting +1

I just figured this out today...and I gotta admit, I feel a little bit of a dum dum for not seeing it sooner. Thanks for posting!

No one has mentioned the new Ice Lance...you're throwing ice javelins from each hand...that is amazing.

Re: Glacial Spike change
Mastery is once again useless for the Frost Mage. It was a really fun week...but deep down I knew it wouldn't last.(...And mastery became useless?)

Re: [7.1] Fire mage guide for Legion, by Rinoa
Is anyone having an issue getting Cauterizing Blink to activate? I can't seem to make it work. I've tried switching specs, changing talents, different zones/instances, etc.
Edit: the "momentum" ability is causing this issue. Unlearning it made CB work again.

Re: Flamestriking comparisons between 7.1,7.0 on 5,7,10 targ
Maybe I'm totally brain farting here, but I don't understand why FS wouldn't rate higher than Default in the last parse (7.1, 6 targets) if Full FS is higher than Default...
Also what I'm gathering from this is that even with the Pyro nerf and the FS buff, it still pays to Pyroblast

Re: Combat Ally
Just closing the loop here, I'm running with Vargoth using a 15 gold and 50 resources equip on WQ complete. Vargoth is awesome because I play on a mostly horde realm cluster (like 80% at level cap) and get attacked all the time. Running around as a Fire Mage with a 20% damage bonus is amazing, and w...

Re: Combat Ally
Have you guys discovered that if you have Vargoth assigned as a combat ally, the follower equipment that allows for bonus gold on completion of WQs doesn't work?

Re: Class order hall talent help requested
I decided to go with the leveling talents first (1a, 2a, 3b until upgraded, 4 not sure.., 5b does seem the best since it gives you something you'd otherwise have to buy). Once I get 110 and start end game I'll switch to the other talent options as it makes sense.

Re: Scotch
Not diluted really. If you add a teaspoon or less of water to a glass it doesn't really "dilute" the scotch as much as open it up a ton. Imagine a rubber band with text written on it, but the text was written when it was stretched out. You can attempt you read it in its normal state but the letters ...
Re: Scotch
I've never heard of bunnahabhain - I'll be on the look out! And yeah, I like mine neat with varying amounts of water based on the alcohol content. 40-46 is no water, 47-50 is a teaspoon, and 50+ is as required. I got a bottle of the Ardbeg uigeadail and 2-2.5 teaspoons of water per dram does AMAZING...
Scotch
Are there any scotch whiskey fans out there? I've recently been enjoying the full gamut of the Islay's, but I think my favorites are the Lagavulin 16 year, the Laphroiag Quarter Cask, and the Finlaggan. I recently got a bottle of Kilchoman and it is really good! Kilchoman is the first new distillery...

IRC mod for the website
Kver/all, back at an old mage board I used to mod, we had an IRC add-on that allowed people to login from the website. It was during that time that we had the most visitors/activity on the board. I'm not sure if you have the backend that can support it, but definitely something to look into :D -alia
