No, I believe that frost/arcane would be vastly superior.

Where do you get that from? Arcane is top single target, while fire is best for multi-target fights.

I'd think it's a decent MI buff, even taking into account them finishing their prior cast before starting casts on the crystal, and having a cast cut off when the crystal despawns, it's probably something like 10-15%. certainly won't complain if it's enough to let us start using mirror images again...

With the latest numbers i see still no reason to go back to frost. Fire is far superior in dual target fights aswell as short fights.
