I just ignored the fact that you are supposed to play RoP since I got really lazy playing IF. I still beat most frost mages in both main raid and pugs (not really top tier but anyway)

wowprogress sims are very inaccurate

ignite relics+netherlight traits do a huge deal as well

Pyromaniac has simmed better for entire legion but is very awkward to play, most fire mages dont reactive gameplay leaves way too much room for mistakes and it generally messes up alot

Try to sim yourself with RoP instead IF with T21 4p.

I wont play RoP so that would be misleading I think

You mentioned the loop thingy, when that happens just compare the 2 sims and play whatever give you highest dps

What should I do when I have proc BF and Orb is ready?
1. If I cast FB>Flurry>IL I can take another proc BF which won't reduce CD of Orb
2. If I cast Orb>FB>Flurry>IL I lose proc FoF

I agree on the boring part but rng-wise fire is alot worse and has been throughout entire Legion

edit: because of bracer procs, that is. If you don't have bracers you can't play fire on ST basically

Attempt to put what my mind rambles on about this; By dropping T19 2pc you drop Enhanced Pyrotechnics to 10% from 30%. At 40% crit, you are going to see streaks of 6-7 non crit fireballs versus current 3. Going to be some painful periods after a combustion burn where your damage drops into the toil...

2p from NH boosts 4p from ToS alot so yeah logically it's very strong

Do we still precast Ebonbolt with T20 Twopiece? Or use Frostbolt into Orb and then ebonbolt during the buff?

I found better results doing the second option.

prepot->frostbolt->frozen orb->icy veins->spend procs->ebonbolt->flurry

With titanforging and mythic+ there is no "bis lists" anymore but I guess there are "optimal" pieces for your spec dropped by ToS bosses. However you need to tell if you play GS or TV
