It's called TrufiGCDBy the way, what is the addon called at the top of your screen that tracks the spells you've cast?

Re: Arcane Mage video guide [6.2.3]
Fantastic guide! Just really don't like the comment about 2100 haste which we have time and time debunked! But still haste/mastery/multi are all pretty much similar in weight at heroic gear and above :)! The haste cap is the thing in the video that I have gotten the most feedback about. When I made...

Arcane Mage video guide [6.2.3]
I want to try and make some video guides when Legion comes out so to get some practice I've started making some for live and some Legion spec preview videos as well. I am looking for feedback on if anyone would find something like this useful. Most YouTube spec guides are like 1 - 2 hours long and h...

Re: Frost Guide for BRF?
Don't too worry about the gear, play the best spec for the fight. I would say Fire is the best spec for The Blast Furnace if you need overall dps. If you are struggling on Elementalists damage or boss damage at the end try out Arcane and save your burst for them. Frost will still do alright damage b...

Re: Arcane Orb should have 2 charges
Arcane Orb is already an insane dps boost on fights with adds. It makes Arcane one of the strongest specs in the game on fights like Beastlord because you almost never need to clear your arcane charges. I think the talent is awesome the way it is. Also Nether Tempest is a strong talent with out Arca...

Re: State of the Specs (Feb 2, pre-BRF)
I'm a physicist and am used to approach a question by examining the hypothetical, simplified limits first. Hypothetically, if one has 0 points of Mastery, I don't see any point of having a conserve phase at all. Mage Armor gives you passive mastery, raid buff, food, enchants, gems. If you're playin...

Re: State of the Specs (Feb 2, pre-BRF)
As for Arcane, before I can obtain more Mastery from the new gears, can I do something e.g. exit the burn phase later to relieve the penalty of lower Mastery? I'm under the impression that before Mastery is adequately stacked, spending as much time as we can in conserve phase isn't that profitable....

Re: Good in raids - new to CMs and a lot of questions
I've read that both Multi > Crit > Haste or Multi > Haste > Crit are the best so either one works and Vers isn't bad either. If you have to choose one an item go with the one that has more multistrike than crit/haste/vers. Don't look at that BiS list they have mastery listed which doesn't take sims ...

Re: Challenge Mode Mages Optimization
@Kams, sadly durrtygoodz is 100% correct. You are right that Runestone has a high static stat budget, but CM's are all about the huge pull you want to destroy as fast as possible. Trinkets with an on-use or an RPPM are the best possible. I take Genesaur Blood and Alchemy Trinket(i know it's an ICD ...

Re: Mythic Twin Ogron
Those of you rolling this do you save your second Mirror Image to que up with TV and Icey Veins or just let it go on cooldown? Only save it if you know that it is going to be your last Mirror Image of the fight to line it up with Icy Veins but don't save it too long to where they don't get their fu...

Re: Best progress spec for Mythic Imperator Mar'gok
Frost is the best progression spec for this boss. You do a lot of single target damage which is very important. Fire can be ok boss damage but it is awkward for target swapping to the arcane adds and does terrible in the transitions. Lots of guilds use Mages to reset the Wrath debuff in P2 and P3 wh...

Re: Challenge Mode Mages Optimization
The stats I would shoot for CMs are Multi > Haste > Crit = Vers > Mastery I can't remember why Haste was better than Crit but I let smarter people than me figure that stuff out. Try and get as little Mastery as you can because it is already the weakest Frost stat on top of it doing nothing for your ...

Re: What is an optimal Frost Bomb uptime %?
It isn't anything I've simmed but when you're dpsing Frost Bomb takes the place of a Frostbolt in your rotation. It is a shorter cast and one hit of Frost Bomb does as much damage as a Frostbolt. So a Frost Bomb cast that gets at least use is more dps than a Frostbolt for that cast. You can argue th...

Re: What is an optimal Frost Bomb uptime %?
I've heard a few people say that you should only use Frost Bomb out side of Frozen Orb and Water Jet if you have 2 FoF but there is no reason to risk losing a proc or canceling a Frostbolt cast to put up Frost Bomb. One hit of Frost Bomb does pretty much the same damage as a Frostbolt and Frost Bomb...

Re: Mythic Twin Ogron
FB/MI/TV is what I do, Ice Nova and Prismatic Crystal also work but I use Thermal Void any chance I get because I hate Crystal with all my heart. We tank them in the middle and I need to find a better place to run for the fire so I don't have to move quite so much. If I can manage that I would use I...

As much as you need it to be, before you water jet or frozen orb and after you get a proc.

Re: Using Evocation properly?
I don't think there's a good reason to not use an Evocation. Just do the normal rotation but with out clearing charges until you hit 50% mana then Evocate to full. That's what I've been doing and it seems to work out ok. I glyph Arcane Power on fights that we lust on the pull for. Not sure if that's...

Re: How do we fit Meteor into the rotation
The reasons they are talking about stopcasting for Meteor is they want to get a Pyro and a heating up, then cast meteor followed by Fireball into hopefully a nice Pyroblast chain. You have to stop casting once you see the heating up to cast Meteor otherwise you would finish the Fireball cast, use yo...

Re: best way to do ko'ragh heroic?
I don't use PC here because the boss moves too much in my opinion everytime he places its suppression fields which makes it hard to cleave with the IL-glyph. I just save my PC for when he runs to the middle with his shield down If you wait for him to charge and place a suppression field there is en...

Re: best way to do ko'ragh heroic?
I guess if you have too many magic classes, you end up breaking his shield too many times and get too many orbs. If you have too many physical classes, you take too long getting the shield off. The orbs are based on time so you want to have a balance of ranged and melee so that you can keep up with...
