I think the reason why it is simming higher is your stats. What is your crit% and hast%e with ring/bracers and with ring/helm?

Sim is against what you are using. That will probably be the best way to see if you want to use it or not. If you don't want to do that just put it on and test it against a target dummy. Do 5 minutes with that trinket and 5 minutes with it off. Which ever is producing more DPS is most likely the bet...

Yeah it is bugged still, I have reported it twice so it should be probably a couple days till they fix it

Thinking about switching from fire to frost and was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of a solid opener for frost. I honestly have no idea where to start so any input would be great. Thank you!

Honestly, I think that Frost will still be above arcane on this upcoming tier. The changes to IL generation are a little bit of a hard hit but if you look at the tier set pieces I think they had to do that other wise good frost mages could keep IV up forever. Right now it is already easy to get 2-3 ...

I normally do this as my opener Pre Pot > Pre-cast Ebonbolt > RoP > IV > ILx2 > Water Jet > ILx2 > Frozen Touch > ILx2 > Frozen Orb > IL I personally feel with the frozen orb at the end it gives you time for your Water Jet and Frozen Touch to be off CD to keep casting ice lance.
