You should use anything that has a flight time, for fire (and most other casters) pyro/whatever main nuke they use it's fine. Arcane is unique in the sense that the main nuke doesn't have any travel time, which is why some people are suggesting opening with Abar

Outside of PC, you shouldn’t be using charges of SN

Pretty sure this is a typo, you can fit 1-2 SN's between PC use and still have two charges ready.

PC is also very good on cleave if you do the 2piece trick correctly. The only bosses where i play fire and dont use it are Hanz and Franz (boss movement) and BF (to have higher combustion uptime on Elementalists).

Why would you need to not use IB on pull? By the time you have gotten Pyro, casted PC and done your pyro chain on it both your IB charges should be off cooldown or close to it.

When and why would the sim choose Pyro+combust the crystal instead of switching to pyro+combust? Destro locks do it with Incinerate, so i guess it's worth try. I wouldn't know how to sim it though.

I feel like Fire performing well in that last bit all comes down to positioning your PC properly and getting a couple of good combustions with the 2set. If that happens i feel like it's very comparable to arcane, if it doesn't it's just way worse even though you do look better on meters.
