Re: Kilt: Simcraft vs. Reality?

I would assume simcraft already accounts for this however.
It doesn't

Re: Pantheon Trinket

Here's how it works. It provides a static amount of mastery, and procs a huge int buff. This works everywhere. There is a secondary proc, for the mages, it's called Norgannon's command. This only works in Antorus raids, and will only activate when 3 other pantheon trinkets proc (i.e. 4 unique panthe...

Re: How valuable is Stabilized Energy Pendant?

5% extra mana is not even enough for a 4 charge AB. That's why Simc doesn't value it that much

I hate to be that guy, but you know GS is reliant on BF procs as well, right?
GS does horrible damage if it doesn't crit.

Sephuz that does not proc is still better than soul. FT really doesn't add as much as you'd think.

Re: Pantheon Trinket question

99% sure they removed the requirement of specific pantheon trinkets needed to be empowered as we have no amanthul trinket, our tanks don't use the pantheon trinket and people still get the empowerment. So now you only need 5 (I think it was 5) random trinkets to proc simultaneously (that's why raid...

Re: Pantheon Trinkets

Are these simming properly for frost mages?? My 665 trinket is simming well below crappy Decimator and Resonator which are @ 930. We have 10+ pantheon trinkets in the raid too. You have to manually set the number of other pantheon users in simc to accurately sim the 2ndary proc. Or use Raidbots and...

Re: Struggling with stat priority

The DPS gain is so tiny from using double ring over kilt+ring that it’s not really worth using it , as using double ring is very punishing (no mana regain). Also, if there is another mage in the raid group, I often find that our CDs wont sync up and the second TW will just be a big waste for at lea...

Dude, you're simming for 1.8M on raidbots. That's the only sim dps you should care about.

Re: Current opener?

The opener has been the same all throughout Legion, it's the one you posted.

The difference between the openers is generally very small, so it doesn't affect the parses as much as you'd think. And simc does a different opener for a different reason, it just can't simulate pre-combat moves accurately.

You are also not counting finger procs getting munched with flurry procs.
Those happen whether you take SI or FT, so it shouldn't factor in.

Re: 4P T-21 + 2P T20

That's not how simc works at all. You just have to look at the output report and see the FoF Proc count and realize that. And again, simc goes through thousands of iteration to get the average >> than a couple attempts on a single boss. And if you don't like theorycrafting go to warcraftlogs and loo...

Re: 4P T-21 + 2P T20

2 things: 1. SI also increases the damage of icicles. It's not much, but it probably moves your 3 additional IL threshold higher. 2. How much additonal IL procs will 4% extra chance give you? In your calculations, you said 3 additional IL out of 50 was enough to pull ahead, but I'm not sure 4% addit...

Re: Optimizing.

I don't actually have the gear, just basing off of what the icy veins guide says. They value the Shard of the Exodar over Fragments of Sindragosa.
You can still sim them using Raidbots.com Gear Compare option. Just manually type in the gear you want to compare.

Re: Rotation question

So much what the poster above said. Just because it sims better does not make it the better choice. The sims assume perfect usage of the procs and that is usually not the case in real situations. They do not. The sims munches procs as well, and the result you see is the average over many many itera...
