Mm.. I don't think I could bare to live with unstable connections.

I personally am quite lucky with my connection and ISP.. My ping is almost always next to nothing from my end and the net has been down maybe 3 or 4 times the past year and only for few hours tops. That reminds me.. I need to pay the freaking bill

Not really sure how much it is monthly for my internet. It's not too expensive though. Around 30 ms to Stormrage which is nice, lol.

I live in Central Illinois, aka Comcast territory. For cable tv and internet I pay $110/mo. Fuck Comcast.

If you take a quick look at the ISP, this is my work computer. It's only that fast because it's summer and there are hardly any students here.

Keep meaning to do a test home to post, it's something around 114 down, but only 12 up on Comcast.

Now, all money are on optical fibre so old connection aren't upgraded any more. *sad*
And because of financial criteria, investment are primary done on big city. So my little village ...

The other option is to go for Satellite connection but it's no the same price at all.

That's why I leech of the neighbours in Holland with an AP/CB (with them knowing about it, do mind) instead of taking a Belgian provider cuz they are horrible around my town.
