under 20k dps heroic imp fire

help please, consistently under 20k dps on heroic imp, we keep wiping before phase 4 but they keep sitting me, hovering around 18-19k before p4, tried switching from living bomb to unstable magic but didnt make much of a difference.

really frustrating!

Are you sure you want to play Fire on that fight on heroic difficulty? There isn't all that much Fire can do that the others can't. Fire single target is also notoriously low.

you think arcane would be better for this fight?

It really depends on what you want to do. What is your role in the encounter?

Arcane does have some mean single target, but in this fight in particular you will probably want to go frost if you want to maximise your performance in general.

we use the ranged/healer stack and move around in a circle strat, so my role is dont stand in mines, dps boss and burn add, move out of group when/If I get 4 stacks, etc. etc. all the other encounter stuff.

I've been extremely stubborn with Fire and really really really want to make it work for Imp just to prove to my guild fire is viable, but if I must respec I will, just don't have that much experience with the other specs.
