560 Arcane Mage LF Advice

Hi everyone,

I have a question for you to optimize my DPS, it seems that im doing way to low as a DPS
i have 560ilvl and when i sim my character in simcraft with only my self buff im supose to do around 250-270k dps
but i'm far from this.

Can you guys please explain to me what kind of rotation you are doing, because usually i keep my bomb up aroun 90% of the time, spam AB for the 4 stack and use my AM proc then barrage.

Am i missing something somewhere, should i change my rotation, etc

We cannot tell you anything about your rotation without a decent combatlog. Malkorok or IJ would be good. Also make sure to turn advanced combat logging on, so we can see your mana consumption.

Your gear seems fine except you your bracers are not enchanted.

Seems to work anyways.

Biggest flaw seems to be your Rune of Power uptime. It is way to low across the board. Not standing in Rune of Power really hurts as Arcane as you lose damage from missing the 15% buff and damage from not regenerating enough mana. Try to place your Rune of Power in a way, that you can move within it the most of the time or move out to avoid the AoE and return immediately. If can no longer stand in your RoP recast it. Also do not forget to recast it, when it runs out.

Bomb uptime could also be better but not as near as bad as the thing with Rune of Power.

Really try to work on your Rune of Power usage. If that is fixed we can say more about, your actuall rotation because the lack of mana regeneration has a strong influence on the actual damage priority.

While dummy logs give a good idea of your rotation, they don't provide a lot about your play when you actually need to care about your surroundings and what the boss is doing. Raid buffs and the sort also matter a lot. Try to log an actual encounter so we can have better insight into some of your problems!

Not really noticing any huge problems except bindings proccing at really weird times. Did they pull the boss immediately after killing trash?

You got hit by a number of things you shouldn't have, such as 10(!) of Kaz'tik's sonic projections and a few empowered whirls, which I doubt would happen on a normal or heroic raid. Your bomb damage is relatively high compared to AB/AM, which suggests that you're simply not standing and casting enough. Aside from that it doesn't look like there are huge issues.
