Highest combustion

Hi everyone,

I was reading about fire mage and everything and i was wondering what are the best option to get the highest combustion possible. is it only with pyro or do we have to spam others spells.

This part specifically:

Prepull opener:
~6 seconds: Channel Invocation
~3.5 second: Cast Mirror Image
~2.2 seconds: Use http://www.wowhead.com/item=76093" target="_blank
~2.2 seconds: Hardcast Pyroblast
-0 seconds: Cast bomb

During the fight, you want to use http://www.wowhead.com/spell=108978" target="_blank when most of your trinkets/potion/bloodlust are up. This is generally within the first 5-10 seconds of the fight. Make sure you also have a http://www.wowhead.com/spell=48108" target="_blank proc and http://www.wowhead.com/spell=48107" target="_blank proc before using alter time, and you got a fireball in-flight towards the boss. When all those conditions are met, use the following macro:

During alter time, keep spamming instant pyroblasts until you’re out of pyroblast! procs and presence of mind is also used. Then recast alter time, and continue spamming pyroblasts until you’re out of pyroblast! procs and presence of mind again. Use combustion as your POM pyro is flying through the air. Due to all these pyros hitting in quick succession, you will have a very high ignite leading to a big combustion.

Sorry i think i just explained myslef incorrectly hehe
What i'm trying to know is what are the best condition to reapply Combustion when you don't have AT for example

Do i wait for PboI to get off ICD or should i apply it ASAP
And what spell should i use, because right im struggling to get high Combustion

I'm using the configuration of Vykina's combustion helper but i don't know what the number are showing, is it the tick number or something else

Anyway i need your help

It depends on your kill times. I know there's a chart floating around here or MMOC. But if you can fit three combustions into a fight, you'll want to use your opener with all of your procs, delay the second one a bit for when PBOI does proc, then your third should line up with PBOI again.

Basically, always line up combustion pyro spam with PBOI. Wait like 5-10 seconds during PBOI to see if your second trinket or meta procs, else just go pyro spam until you're out and then combust.

Thanks a lot guys, with your advice my dps went up a little bit, i still need to do a lot of work but i feel im on the right track

You can also cheese it by using Mage Armor for extra Mastery in your opener, although you shouldn't sacrifice 5% crit unless your gear is solid to pump out Pyro's without it.

It also requires very specific macros and timing, and if you're too far away from the boss you will 'munch' your last pyro and end up having to hardcast armor back, which is a loss. I owuld not advise using the mage armor opener.
