Shard of Exodar (Drop locations?)

If anyone who has obtained this ring could let me know where they got it from that would help to either confirm or deny my suspicions based on what you read below.

I've personally noticed that atleast WoWhead.com has started to list certain mythic dungeons with specific legendary drops. I've also obtained the Marquee Bindings of the sun king. For me this dropped in Neltharion's Lair(mythic+) and its also listed as a drop there on WoWhead, which begs the question.

This is also why I wish to confirm or deny if these legendaries has a specific dungeon drop or if its random. I've talked with one mage who has the Shard of Exodar, he got it in Vault of the Wardens (mythic+).

I don't think you can target legendaries unless blizard changed sth recently. It all seems pretty random so far and as long as you do the things that drop them you should get one eventually..i haven't been lucky so far

Thanks for bringing this up - I didn't bother asking because I figured I was probably wrong, but I'm wondering the same thing as you.

The legendary bracers also dropped off NL on mythic+ for me and I was wondering if there was a reason WoWHead has it as part of the dungeon's loot table. I'd also like to target the ring or helmet, so hearing that there's a source on vault dropping the ring and NL dropping the bracers is very helpful.

I got the "blink robe" from first boss in Eye of Azshara (Mythic) and the ring from emissary bag after completing daily world quests (for Kirin tor, not that it matters).

From what I've heard (just rumors though), emissary bags have slightly higher change to drop legendaries, but I really can tell whether it's true or not.

Highly doubt it, but I got mine in Maw Of Souls mythic+.

It's likely that some dungeons/bosses have increased droprates for specific legendaries, but they probably won't drop exclusivley that specific legendary. This discussions seems kinda pointless though, we have no offical statement and I doubt wowhead has the necessary data to back it up.

I just got the Shard of the Exodar tonight. I found it in the Emerald Nighmare Raid: Tormented Guardians. I got the ring when we beat Cenarius. I definitely believe that having some Seals of Broken Fate: up to 6 at a time (get them in the Violet Hold- Dalaran: Broken Isles), helped to increase my chances of getting it. The craziest part is that another legendary item was awarded off of Ursoc in that same raid!

Any suggestions for the best socket gem for the Shard of Exodar for a Fire Mage?

I got it from a Nightfallen emissary chest, with no Seals left for the week.
As for gems, I went for http://www.wowhead.com/item=130248
There's very little chance of changing this slot until Legion ends, so I think it's the best candidate for an Eye.
