Fire/Arcane - constantly low on meters

Hey guys,

I've been consistently appearing low on the damage meters throughout Legion versus players with similar gear. The rest of my guild had a head-start on me, as I wasn't playing for the first three months of the expansion, but I've now mostly caught up in gear (~ilvl 896).

No matter what I do, I struggle to even appear in the top five on any fight aside from Skorpyron, and sometimes not even there. Generally I'm Fire, but switch to Arcane on certain single target, low-movement bosses like Krosus and Tichondrius. As Fire I have no idea what the problem could be; as Arcane I'm maybe not being as aggressive with my mana as I could be. Please highlight any weaknesses you can spot.

P.S. Yes, as a mod I should know this stuff, but it's always best to have fresh eyes on things. You'll probably see something I've missed.

What I can say right off the bat is that you're missing 3 things:
Trinkets
Legendaries
Weapon traits

From checking wowprogress your fire weapon is 39, which isn't very high. I don't know how far your arcane weapon is, but it scales much better than fire, you should see a massive increase once you reach 54 in arcane.

I'm sorry about your bad luck with legendaries, but both fire and arcane are legendary dependent specs, fire in particular. Both specs sim low in comparison to other classes without legendaries, once you get a decent one you should see quite an increase.

One thing that stands out is that you're not using Wriggling Sinew with Rune of Power with Combustion, ideally you want it to reach 10 stacks when you have both combustion and rop active especially since their cds overlap. My suggestion is to use a stat stick instead of plaguehive if you have. You'd also want to look after erratic metronome and whispers since, for single target, right now crit has been devaluated in favor of haste.

My main suggestion for Arcane is to always keep 1 arcane missiles proc for movement and never delay your Evocation or Arcane Power.

Trinkets - fully aware these are bad. I coin for Metronome, Whispers etc every week but so far have had no luck.
Legendaries - Arcane theoretically performs above Fire without legendaries, but it's a ballache to play without Shimmer on some fights. Ironically I actually got Koralon's in the same raid I posted the logs for last night; I can't equip it yet because I have nothing to replace Norgannon's
Weapon traits - Again, aware of this issue. I'm still behind because of the three month catch-up I'm playing.

I actually am using Sinew, Rune and CB together; I activate CB with about seven/eight stacks left. Sometimes I fat-finger it, though; this is something that I need to improve.
