Please Provide Tips On Water Ele Management

I hate using this thing, and I think there are a lot of us out here. Sometimes it just seems to have a mind of its own

Can anyone provide some advice on how to better control it (consistently be near you, attack same target, etc.)? I tried using this macro (/petassist /cast [@target, exist] Frostbolt) but there are times where water ele still ends up in Narnia and I can't use freeze
