Coming back after a long break

Hi, I am a returning wow player after a couple year break. I'm just looking for some insight into the mage class/specs. Icy veins, Noxxic, WoWhead just don't do the trick. After reading multiple guides I'm still in the same place i was days ago. I'm just looking for a stat priority on all the specs and general knowledge you should know playing a mage. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
