If any of you would take a look at my butcher kill, I'd really appreciate any feedback. This was done at 653 ilvl with no BiS trinkets and no wep.

Not sure what's you're looking for, and I didn't find much worth mentioning in the log. That said, you should change your target back to your main target before Prismatic Crystal, instead of letting it expire and interrupt your cast. Personally I also prefer using Ice Floes to avoid the knockback interrupting your cast.

In the interest of becoming better at analyzing logs, how did you tell that he let one of his casts get interrupted by PC despawning, Komma?

Looking at the cast event log (https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/qJ ... iew=events" target="_blank), the normal sequence is "begins casting X" followed by a "casts X on Y". When there's a "begins casting X" but no "casts X on Y", it means that the spell cast was interrupted before it fired.

When this happens twice after PC expires, it's pretty certain what the reason is!

There's a 2 second gap between the last FFB on PC and the first FFB used on Butcher, which is much more than the GCD (<1.5 seconds). This means that the player has issues with retargeting the boss after PC expires, and needs to work on PC usage.

thanks so much, i didn't realize i was doing this. I think my problem is that I don't track the time on PC, I should probably start doing this. TYVM.

ElvUI automatically tracks PC, if you're into that. Also, PC itself has an energy bar. Once it depletes it'll despawn.
