Archangel [EU-Auchindoun] [A]

Archangel is a semi-hardcore raiding guild formed at the beginning of 2014. We're currently the realm 2nd 10man guild to clear heroic Siege, though The Great Danes have since changed servers putting us at the top. We're looking to clear all future tiers of content in a timely manner while enjoying ourselves and keeping a friendly raiding atmosphere. Most of our members have a lot of previous heroic raiding experience and maintain a very high standard of play. We started a little late into Siege of Orgrimmar but so far have managed to achieve an impressive server ranking nonetheless. When we step into Mythic Mode raiding we're hoping to keep up with the other top guilds on Auchindoun.

Basic Information:

3 raids/week - Wednesday/Sunday/Monday from 20:30 - 0:00 realm time. (Invites at 20:15)
A focus on Mythic progression in Warlords, spending the rest of MoP working on SoO 25 Heroic.
Quick, focused progression with a friendly atmosphere.
Large Teamspeak server.

Recruitment Information:

Recruiting healers, dps and one off spec tank, ideally a monk.

This recruitment is for 25 player raiding, which we're expecting to start around the end of May.
All strong players looking to join are encouraged to submit an application.

Specific classes needed for the 25 player/mythic team can be seen on our WoW Progress page; if your class isn't listed, it means it is in less demand, but we will consider any and all applications at this time.


Our goal is to be able to clear Siege of Orgrimmar 25 Heroic without too many weeks of progress, so players who apply should have decent heroic progress and impeccable knowledge of all fights and their class' roles within those fights. Any bosses that are unknown to applicants should be thoroughly researched beforehand. Gear should be sufficient to immediately jump into the content we're currently progressing on. Less geared players are welcome to apply, but should expect to gear up in our alt runs or through pugs until they're better equipped for heroic/mythic modes.

We are a multi-national guild, but we speak English during raids. Players must be able to speak/understand English to a reasonable level. It is imperative that all raiders are able to log onto and use Teamspeak 3.

We do prefer that applicants have some previous heroic raiding experience, whether that be in Mists of Pandaria or a previous expansion we do not mind. Players who are new to high-end raiding are welcome, but we expect them to be able to learn quickly and adopt the correct attitude for raiding difficult content.

On the topic of attitude, we welcome reliable players who work well as a team, communicate effectively and will be a fun and focused asset to the guild. We aren't looking for players who will be quick to rage or cause drama if things aren't going their way. We've been raiding long enough to know that players who constantly cause discord aren't worth valuable raid time, and such players will be quickly removed from our roster. The vast majority of players needn't even concern themselves with this, as they are lovely people to raid with.

Lastly, all applicants should be proficient in both their current main spec and at least one other spec. This is especially true for healers and tanks, whom we expect to learn one dps spec in case it is ever necessary.

Further Information

Archangel's core group have raided together in the past, though not all together. Collectively our officer core has a wide spectrum of raiding experience which we hope to use to create a solid, progression focused team. We look to include all new raiders as a part of this family, and thus try to maintain a very social, open atmosphere in-game. That said, we also know when to focus and we try to keep idle banter during progression raiding to a minimum.

We're currently at 14/14 Heroic Mode, with most of these kills achieved at a significantly faster rate than the average semi hardcore guild. Everyone in the guild was new to Siege of Orgrimmar heroic modes when we started in January, with most having not cleared normal before our first kill after Christmas.
