It looks like the Aluneth skilltree... kinda http://www.wowhead.com/artifact-calc/ma ... ne/AoBgIEA" target="_blankConcerning the nest filled with sheep, if you look at it all the way up from the rocks above, it almost just looks like Aluneth, does it not?

Possibly it's just there to let Arcane Mages know somethings up with sheep?
Idk, could be wrong.

i thought about getting sheeped there or bringing a sheep companion. might lure the dragon which killed those sheeps outPossibly it's just there to let Arcane Mages know somethings up with sheep?
Magister Varenthas in our class hall stands infront of the 4th spot for artifact appearances (should be where the hidden artifact appearance will be). does anyone know a connection between him/his old spot in howling fjords and one of the 3 appearances? also whereas nearly all NPCs in our hall have the title "Kirin Tor ...", he is called "High Forgeguard". dont know what this could hint to tho, ironforge?

Re: Mage Hidden Artifact Appearances
I've been exploring Frostfire Ridge again searching for clues, specially in the Magnarok zone, where there are a lot of molten furies like http://www.wowhead.com/npc=113513/asher" target="_blank which is probably the one who gives us the crystal. Also in the pools of lava. Tried interacting with the elemental NPCs and using different frost abilities on the pools of lava, on the NPCs, on http://www.wowhead.com/npc=87988/the-essence-of-flame" target="_blank. Found nothing so far, and the roll quest still says it isn't completed.
Re: Mage Hidden Artifact Appearances
Gakkiz, if you are on EU servers, you can add me Duyi#2512 and we could go try it out - been trying to find another mage to do the exact same thing, but none of my mates/guildies are on :/
Re: Mage Hidden Artifact Appearances
If you are on EU and preferably Horde, add Duyi#2512. We are attempting to sheep all the 5 mobs at the same time on the same realm.
Re: Mage Hidden Artifact Appearances
Alright so, we tried it here on Stormreaver, 5 different mages sheeped the 5 mobs at the same time. Nothing happened. The search continues...
Re: Mage Hidden Artifact Appearances
That pile of dead sheep in Stormheim definitely has something to do with it. It can't be a coincidence that it looks exactly like Aluneth... Tried various stuff there, but no results so far. Maybe there are more piles like these, scattered around the Broken Isles?
Re: Mage Hidden Artifact Appearances
The Frost artifact portal takes you to a phased Magnarok at the top "crater" area. I don't believe I took any screenshots.
Wanted to try this on beta, and it didn't work, so thanks for testing it!Alright so, we tried it here on Stormreaver, 5 different mages sheeped the 5 mobs at the same time. Nothing happened. The search continues...

Re: Mage Hidden Artifact Appearances
Just tried sheeping them all as black sheep to match the portrait that shows up in the dialog box, nothing different
Re: Mage Hidden Artifact Appearances
Disclaimer: I have absolutely no proof of this whatsoever because I didn't realise it could be something useful at first.
Earlier today I took a flightpath from Challiane's Terrace in Azsuna to The Witchwood in Highmountain, and as soon as I entered the flying space over Val'Sharah, I had the Volatile Sheep dialogue pop up again with its typical "..."
Not sure if this was just a glitch or something of note.

Re: Mage Hidden Artifact Appearances
I have absolutely no basis for this, and I don't play an Arcane mage and have not attempted anything to figure something out, but has anyone thought maybe controlling sheep with the http://www.wowhead.com/item=86586 could play some role? It's a bit of a different perspective than polymorphing things.
I highly doubt the method would include a requirement for such a toy, but /shrug.

Re: Mage Hidden Artifact Appearances
I believe the sheep (in the Aluneth shape) may be pointing to the spawn point for Nithogg, the world boss. Nithogg does have an ability called Unstable Explosion with the description: "Upon reaching a player affected by Lightning Rod, the Static Orb bursts inflicting 219375 to 230625 Nature damage to all enemies within 8 yards." So maybe using Nithogg to kill a polymorphed mob could trigger the "Stormheim Sheep Exploded" quest? It would be a bit similar to other classes having artifact appearances bound to world bosses.i thought about getting sheeped there or bringing a sheep companion. might lure the dragon which killed those sheeps outPossibly it's just there to let Arcane Mages know somethings up with sheep?

tried that already but the sheeped mobs dont follow since they are no critters (also there arent any sheep critters i know of in broken isles). there is an elwynn sheep in the rogue class hall tho, thought about letting a rogue lure it out with panflute but that seems too far fetchedI have absolutely no basis for this, and I don't play an Arcane mage and have not attempted anything to figure something out, but has anyone thought maybe controlling sheep with the http://www.wowhead.com/item=86586 could play some role? Re: Mage Hidden Artifact Appearances
Hi, so I am sure some of you are familiar with the "Vrykul Shepherd" mob that is located in Stormheim. Well I decided to pay him a visit after sheeping 5 mobs around the broken isles and he has a funny interaction.
When you get him to 40%,you get this interaction http://prnt.sc/cgbt84" target="_blank
The funny thing is.......nothing happens,no sheeps are spawned,no mobs, nothing changes.
Would be great if some one adds me on EU because I am a fire mage with no arcane artifact EU xmatic#2174,got a few more things I wanna try.
edit1:
Maybe it triggered something in the world?
edit2:
Small group of mages decided to sheep all the mobs around the NPC and kill him, nothing happened.

Re: Mage Hidden Artifact Appearances
It´s just a little bit buggy. I tryed this a few times and he just call the goats to attack you but they don´t react like 70% of the time. But sometimes they get aggressiv cause of that and attack you.Hi, so I am sure some of you are familiar with the "Vrykul Shepherd" mob that is located in Stormheim. Re: Mage Hidden Artifact Appearances
Yeah,it appears to be true. Still think this guy has some play as he is the only shepherd besides the one we didn't find. It´s just a little bit buggy. Re: Mage Hidden Artifact Appearances
Vyrin Ethrezil spawned on EU realms today.
I've talked to every NPC that gives the buff (Frostflash, Eve, Fiora, Eldragosa, Blinks, Vyrin and Seanus), nothing seems to have changed. There was no special dialogue, my daily portal rolls are still coming empty (i.e. quest is still not flagged as completed).

Re: Mage Hidden Artifact Appearances
you can play shepherd in the "Bastion of Bradensbrook" WQ, but didnt find any hints on the skin yet
they vanish when porting out or simply leaving the area
i brought back 20 sheep already, no signs still

Re: Mage Hidden Artifact Appearances
This might be a big deal or nothing at all but the glitched map https://gyazo.com/b8d2e09bfba01ff89f5eb4d8ba4a3aa5 is from shadowmoon valley. And there is another thing from shadowmoon valley that we should consider. I don't know if its correct but Cote Metcalf's son Ryan died in Shadowmoon valley. http://www.wowhead.com/npc=74547/ryan-metcalf
Edit 1: I died near Ryans position and walked there as a ghost but i didn't see anything.
Edit 2: Yes Ryans corpse is gone for me, maybe not for everyone(?)
