Where's the boomkin thread?
Hi, I'm new and I couldn't find the boomkin thread. Anyone know where it's at?
Re: Where's the boomkin thread?
Boomkins are fake mages!
Re: Where's the boomkin thread?
Yeah as I explained in my guide for how I converted from druid to mage-- moonkins just don't cut it.
Re: Where's the boomkin thread?
Though tbh some of the changes are definitely a notbad.jpg moment.
I can sometimes see the *new* eclipse mechanic work like a more interesting version of Mana Adept. Whereas the idea with Mana Adept is inherently self defeating (i.e. "keep mana high to do more damage but you have to spend mana to do damage in the first place so gg 2 u lol"), the new Eclipse could serve to be more enticing, especially since you aren't nerfing yourself with every cast.
I also like that they made the Sun-Moon transition smoother, i.e the gradually lose the Solar bonus while gradually gaining the Lunar part. It will allow for not only a smoother DPS output curve (which is good for pvp balance), but also some interesting gameplay for the druid himself, since he will have more interesting decisions to make about switching his Wrath-Starfire.
Would need to play it to get the feel, but from what I've read, its notbad at all.
Now sure there will certainly be players out there who will not like it but c'est la vie.

It'll be interesting to see how they perform, considering these kinds of overhauls in the past have led to balance(hihi) issues in that they are overpowered or underpowered.

Idk I'll let you know how it is in WoD. 99.9% sure I'm going back to my boomkin throne.

Re: Where's the boomkin thread?
hum, boomkin. Isn't it like a mage with a father T-mog ?
If it's a serious topic, it should be a little more attractive, with some explanation, data, talent choice, etc. Things, I'm higly interesting at since my reroll number 1 is Troll Drood.
But if not couldn't it be move into an other part of the forum.

Frost rocks on cleave but Fire reigns on AoE. Where is Arcane ?

masta replied an hour before I did, so I was providing helpful moonkin discussion links.

It's fine, good job. I'll still blame you if we lose mages who reroll boomkin thoughmasta replied an hour before I did, so I was providing helpful moonkin discussion links.
Re: Where's the boomkin thread?
At this point, I still think mages are going to be in a better place than moonkin when the expansion rolls around.

In terms of numbers yeah. Let's see how they do in other aspects! At this point, I still think mages are going to be in a better place than moonkin when the expansion rolls around.
Re: Where's the boomkin thread?
I came to Alter Time to associate and converse with my fellow esteemed mage brethren. I'm not interested in mingling with the lesser classes.
