Goroth
All specs
* [Mythic] You can solo-soak Rain of Brimstone with Ice Block - save it for when no-one else can reach the spot in time. Watch out for overlapping patches, and soak them both.

Arcane

Fire

Frost
Demonic Inquisition
All specs

Arcane
* The cleave from Arcane Barrage will generate Torment during Bone Saw and Fel Squall.
* [Mythic] Arcane's burst AoE is useful to AoE the adds down after exiting the lantern.

Fire
* [Mythic] Dragon's Breath with Darckli's Dragonfire Diadem is useful to AoE the adds down after exiting the lantern.
* [Mythic] Use Flame Patch if you can keep the adds clumped up, or Unstable Magic if not.

Frost
* Frozen Orb and the cleave from Splitting Ice will generate Torment during Bone Saw and Fel Squall.
* Splitting Ice won't cleave if you face away from the second boss.
Harjatan
All specs

Arcane

Fire
* Try not to cast Meteor as adds are spawning, to avoid splitting damage.

Frost
* Try to time Frozen Orb casts for the murloc spawns, but don't delay it more than a few seconds, especially with 2-T20
Mistress Sassz'ine
All specs
* The Abyss Stalkers can be frozen with Frost Nova to activate Sephuz's Secret; the cooldowns line up perfectly.
* If you're in a bad spot or the raid has mistimed killing off Abyss Stalkers, you can Blink through the tornado wall.
* You can solo soak Hydra Shot with Ice Block. Keep in mind you still get stunned if you take multiple hits.
*[Mythic] Delicious Bufferfish only fall off once you take damage to your health pool. This means absorbed (Ice Barrier) and immuned (Ice Block) hits will not cause it to fall off. You can sit in Ice Block during Devouring Maw and not drop the fish.
Arcane

Fire

Frost
* Keeping high uptime on Blizzard and Frozen Orb allows for heavy boss damage in addition to high mobility. It is part of what makes Frost a great spec on this fight.
Sisters of the Moon
All specs
* [Normal/Heroic] You can solo-soak Incorporeal Shot with Ice Block.
* [Mythic] You can NOT solo-soak Incorporal Shot with Ice Block. Doing so will cause more damage to the raid than soaking it normally.

Arcane

Fire
* Be careful when casting Meteor - don't use it before a transition when the boss is about to despawn.

Frost
The Desolate Host
All specs
* You can Ice Block the Spear of Anguish; this will still push you through to the spirit realm, but without a debuff to be healed off, so you can immediately cross back to the corporeal realm. On Mythic you need to be below 50% health in order to cross realms.

Arcane
*

Fire
*

Frost
* Try to convince your raid to put you on the corporeal side, where adds tend to live longer - that means more Blizzard ticks and more Frozen Orb resets.
Maiden of Vigilance
All specs
* Use Shimmer to quickly reach the Maiden after she casts Blowback.
* Ice Block removes the unstable debuff, allowing you to skip a jump into the pit.

Arcane
* Blink before jumping into the pit and Displacement back up (AFTER blowing up) to save DPS time.

Fire

Frost
* With Glacial Spike: try to have five Icicles when you reach maximum stacks of Creator's Grace/Demon's Vigor, then fire a Spike.
Fallen Avatar
All specs
* Minimize use of Blink/Shimmer when you have Unbound Chaos; unpredictable movement can screw over other raid members. Alternatively, if you are standing in an unpopulated area; use it to keep higher DPS uptime.
* You can solo-soak Touch of Sargeras and Dark Mark with Ice Block. It's best to save Block to soak a Dark Mark late in phase two, as by this point raids often sacrifice the affected players. Ice Block means that that isn't necessary.
* Blink just before hitting the ground going into phase 2; this saves yourself around a million health in fall damage, and is faster than Slow Falling to the ground.

Arcane
* [Mythic] Use Greater Invisibility to lower the damage you take from Rupture Realities while having high stacks from soaking the Tainted Matrix.

Fire

Frost
Kil'jaeden
All specs
* You can solo-soak the large Armageddon Hail meteor with Ice Block.
* Blink/Shimmer shortly after the Rupturing Singularity lands (roughly when you reach the peak of your arch backwards) to return to the spot you were standing in.
* With Shimmer, you are one of the best option to kite the Flaming Orb.
* If you get Focused Dreadflame, Invisibility will force Kil'jaeden to stop casting it: the mechanic can be entirely skipped. This is easiest to accomplish as Arcane, but the other specs can do it, too.

Arcane
* You can kite for even longer than our other specs with good use of Displacement - but be careful of the Orb hitting other party members on its way back to you. Make sure that you can get to the Rift before it hits you!
* Your cooldowns line up exactly with the Shadow Reflection adds in phase 2, if you hold them a little: a big help with add control.

Fire

Frost
* Even though the boss's takes 99% reduced damage during transitions, casting Frostbolt will still reduce your cooldown on Icy Veins.

Tip: Keep an eye out for overlapping [Rain of Brimstone]s, as you can soak both of them with one block.

Boss: Mistress Sassz'ine

Tip: You can use Ice Block to remove the [Consuming Hunger] debuff in phase 3, where there is no other alternative to remove it.

Boss: Desolate Host
Difficulty: Heroic+
Spec: All
Tip: You can Ice Block the [Spear of Anguish], which would still push you through to the spirit realm, but without a debuff needed to be healed off, allowing you to immediately cross back to the corporeal realm.

Difficulty: Heroic+
Spec: All
Tip: Ice Block removes the unstable debuff that occasionally goes out, allowing you to skip a jump into the pit.

Boss: Kil'jaden
Difficulty: All Difficulties
Spec: All specs
Tip: During http://www.wowhead.com/spell=240910/armageddon, you can use http://www.wowhead.com/spell=46604/ice-block to soak even the large ones solo without picking up a debuff. If you need to soak a second time before the cool down has reset on http://www.wowhead.com/spell=46604/ice-block, just use your http://www.wowhead.com/spell=235219/cold-snap for an instant http://www.wowhead.com/spell=46604/ice-block reset.

I hope this helps!

Boss: Misstress Sas'zine
Difficulties: All but specially Heroic+ since there are no tornado free gaps.
Spec: All
Tip: all the debuffs on this fight are removable, in phase 3 you can avoid the consuming hunger debuff but also if you get hit by a tornado or your raid is unable to kill the adds fast enough you can either ice block before the tornadoes trespass you or right after to remove the most likely lethal damage.

Boss: Fallen Avatar
Difficulties: All
Spec: All
Tip: you can use slow fall on yourself or allies to prevent the fall damage, specially if blink is on cd, just be sure not to use it too early or you'll be falling for 10+ seconds resulting in a huge dps loss. If you use slow fall too early and then cancel it you'll die so be careful. Watch out for people in your raid below 1 million HP and buff them right before they land to save them.

Boss: Kil'jaedan
Difficulty: Heroic
Spec: Arcane
Tip: Your CD's line up exactly with the shadow reflection adds in the second phase if you hold your CD's for a bit - also helps burst them down a lot.

To be honest, you should never be hit by the tornado since you can always just blink through.
Also, there's no gap in normal now.

Boss: Maiden
Difficulty: any
Spec: Arcane

If you use blink before jumping into the pit, you can use displacement after the explosion to instantly get back in position and maximize uptime (this will also save your life if you jump too early or have a bad angle)

Cold snap is only for frost, so you should either change it to say it only applies to frost or add in something before cold snap that says "if you're playing frost you can cold snap to get another ice block to soak again".

Boss: Goroth
Tip: You can shimmer through the pillars, make sure you shimmer over them otherwise you will get knocked to the side.
Tip: You can interrupt the channel of the Brimstone add.

Boss: Demonic Inquisition
Tip: You can block off the purple debuff which explodes and gives other people torment(blocking it does not trigger explosion).
Tip: Mythic(Frost) - Spec into Artic Gale and Frigid Winds when adds are spawning. This way they will (most likely) never reach your ranged. Be mindful of Fel Squal timer.

Boss: Harjatan
Tip: You can interrupt casting Murlocs for Sephuz procs. Assuming your RL gives priority to your interrupt each wave it can be better than Shard of Exodar.

Boss: Mistress Sassz'ine
Tip: Stalkers spawn with "Burden of Pain" cast, watch that timer for easier Blizzard/FO timings.

Boss: Sisters of the Moon
Tip: You can block Moon Burn.
Tip2: Blink away if targeted by "Twilight Volley" before it lands(usually 3sec timer).

Boss: The Desolate Host
Tip: You can place Tormented Cries pizza slice behind the boss.

Boss: Fallen Avatar
Tip: In Phase 2 you can always position so that you are always on a platform when the boss is breaking one, its at about 36-38 yards, thus not breaking your casts.

Boss: Kil'jaeden
Tip: When making soaking rotations, make sure you soak 1 little meteor before 1 big one. That way the ice block will clear your smaller debuff and save your healers mana.
Tip2: In Phase 2, use your Barrier between adds dying and the Veil phase. Once you get the Illidan buff, your barrier should be off cd, which gives you two small shields for the phase.
Tip3: This varies, but dont just refresh your Illidan buff when its about to run out - you can refresh it at 10 seconds to make sure you dont have it when KJ casts the first Darkness.

Not sure where else this fits in but since it's mentioned here. Does anyone know why we get pushed to dead side for completely immuning spear but Hunters and Rogues both don't go to dead side for immuning?

Aspect of the Turtle deflects attacks, Cloak of shadows makes rogues resist attacks, while Ice Block simply blocks the damage of the spell. It's a bit on the edge, as Ice block is supposed to block the spells. I would say most likely an oversight of the design team.

Boss: Sisters of Moon
Difficulty: All
Spec: All
Tip: While doing Mythic Sister I accidentally hit my Ice block as lunar barrage was applied to me. Rendering the whole mechanic. Saves some space. (Lunar beacon is still applied to you, but the ring it drops is nullified if you ice block)
Proof: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/dQ ... ls=debuffs

Boss: Goroth
Difficulty: Mythic
Spec: All
Tip:
> with shield up, you can easily exceed 5M hp to survive RAIN OF BRIMSTONE just in two
> also legendary chest could be usefull for surviving bad luck consequences with CRUSHING COMMET dot
> cauterize is emergency Ice Block for RAIN OF BRIMSTONE for solo soak (healing pot/health stone, blink afterwards) [fire only]

Boss: Demonic Inquisition
Difficulty: Mythic
Spec: Fire
Tip:
> FIRESATARTER talent is useful even without legendary bracers for opening burst and also for damaging beast inside Belac realm (large amount of orbs and guaranted hot streak active, while leaving that realm and cast flamestrike from the air while falling back to normal realm)
> flamestrike slows adds and can be used for emergency slowing while FEL SQUAL active (just few statcks of torment unlike frost mage)
> Shard of Exodar is usefull due to length of fight. As mage you can avoid most tormet so probably you can stay for long time in normal realm for two time warps from beginning. Pop third for execute [all spec]
