T18 Summon Emotes - Addon?
So everytime I get a 2T18 summon, I get an emote that says something related to the one it summoned (like "My magic will destroy you" or "I have no time for games". Its annoying as hell. At first I thought it was just part of the set bonus, but it didn't happen when I disabled all addons so its got to be one of them. I've tried disabling my mage specific addons but that didn't help. I have a fair number of addons installed, so before I spend a bunch of time going through them one by one - has anyone else seen this? Anyone knows what causes it?

That explains why I was having so much trouble figuring it out. Thank god. That was ridiculously annoying.

this is the wow client who send this emote... maybe you can disable it with an addon.
you can disable it in sound settings : deactivate dialogues

Re: T18 Summon Emotes - Addon?
he ment the written text /e that the weak aura caused to repeat it. not the sounds
Re: T18 Summon Emotes - Addon?
Can you remove these emotes somehow without disabling the weakaura that tracks the set bonus?

Please tell me how to remove them even with weakauras not working because I might prefer that. It's not like I can usually use that information. Arcane's rotation is too hardocoded. Can you remove these emotes somehow without diasabling the weakaura that tracks the set bonus?

Yes, you can, that's what I did.Can you remove these emotes somehow without disabling the weakaura that tracks the set bonus?
I'm not at home so I can't check exactly where it is but if you go into the WA and look through the options somewhere in there it has the lines of text for the emotes. You can just delete them and everything else works fine.

WA without /emote

Go into group and set [Source Name] = your character name.
If you don't do this the weak aura will trigger from ANY mage's 2set proc which is very misleading.

Isn't the tier emoting without any aura at all?

Re: T18 Summon Emotes - Addon?
ah, I thought Frantik meant the audio emotes.
Re: T18 Summon Emotes - Addon?
I meant the chat emotes. I am getting /ignore from people because of them
Thanks for the info.

Re: T18 Summon Emotes - Addon?
I got a WA that displayed the chat bubbles when the characters are summoned. I disabled it under actions. You should see the emotes there. I simply removed them.

Re: T18 Summon Emotes - Addon?
I cant remember how i ended up diabling the emote, but i went in to the weakaura, and instad of having it print in /e i made it print in whisper to one of my fellow guildies. Safe to say he wasnt that happy about it
