BTW its 8% not 5% buff

Wouldn't these changes also slightly devalue RoP? And slightly increase the value of IF? The gap between them wasn't very big after the 7.1.5 changes. Sounds like i'll be doing a lot of Dummy Testing before Raid tonight.

I had a similar result (609k to 624k). What happened to your mastery weight? I saw in another thread people said it was king, but it is still my third stat (shard/kjbw).
For me it sims worst by far which is expected (940 shard+kilt).

In a real world scenario, RoP has a highest ceiling and also the lowest floor (aka you fail to use it perfectly). Myself I will run IF because it is one less thing to worry about for mythic progression and with the latest shift from burn to sustain it sims 0.7% less DPS for my gear, which in reality means IF will be higher on average considering stationary patchwerk sim is nowhere near a real boss.
Having said that, if you can reliably pop rune in (for example) AP+AE spam phase, you will get higher numbers. Which is something I will be doing on farm.

Yeah haste was my worst stat before the changes, somehow im now vers > haste > mastery > crit but they're all SUPER close, vers is 10.70, haste is 10.50, mastery is 10.43 crit is 10.43, I mean that's insanely close.

It was far different before the changes.

Before the changes it was crit = 10.59, vers = 10.33, mastery = 9.37 and haste = 8.64...

Really odd how it all changed lmao.

Ran a 880+ clear of EN last night at 885 ilvl, I don't think I had a fight under 450. Changes felt good, and even got my two piece heroic set now.

I am curious once we get 4 set and base 900-910 ilvl if we can switch to Tempural Flux for higher sustained dps.

Given certain fights like Spell Blade would be required to take arcane power just to burst down the Arcane adds.

That's what i loved about Arcane , all stats holds value. flexible with any new ilvl gear you get. the only thing i'm uncertain with is which neck enchant should i go with, mark of claw or hidden satyr both siming super close.

Just got 4set tonight and sims barely showed any dps increase at all

Your sims are accurate. My ingame testing has shown a 0% dps increase for the obvious reason that you still AP before evocation every time. So instead of having evo counting down while you burn, now it just sits there!

In my heroic raid tonight, any component of any fight that involved AoE, I absolutely destroyed by just spamming AE with RoP and AP.

Everything except Skorp you linked was burst AE. Yes, we're burst machines now since AP is the new Combustion. Has little to do with Arcane Explosion or the buff. The full sustained AE fights we're not even close to top compared to equivalently geared/skilled classes. e.g. Skorp, Botanist, Elisandra, and half of ToV/EN fights.

Yeah the burst aoe is real. I got an almost 1 mil parse on spellblade today and I'm using IF not RoP...
But I would trade some of that aoe for more ST damage.

Just to add to the very true argument of our "sustained AE" here a log of said Skorp with the fun entrance strategy.

Same 97th ilvl percentile as Fire, dmg difference to reach those are however 500M, so jeah.

To be honest, Skorp is not even a boss. Its some kind of a joke.
Spellblade of Tich are much better bosses to compare AoE on.
