[Fixed]Stupid but effektiv way to play arcane
Doesnt work anymore
You need to have the new golden trait for an extra golden explosion. And 2 pieces of the T-19 set.
Just spam it to proc more arcane missiles -> get golden logs.
I have tested it on NH HC and NHC and many Mythic+ runs.
The sad thing behind this, it makes more damage than arcane blast and you dont have to worry about canceling your spells.

From my testing it does a little bit less than arcane blasting, so if you are good. Dont use this tactic. If you are bad, use this tactic.The sad thing behind this, it makes more damage than arcane blast and you dont have to worry about canceling your spells.
This is on singletarget by the way, on 2targets or more use AE.

I dont,I use RoP for Mark of Aluneth and 3 Missiles procs to burst them out and keep spamming AE.I assume you still use AB during RoP/Cds

I never hardcast any of the AB, not even on the burst phase with my other cooldowns.

the DPET of Explosion nearly matches AB is understandable.
What makes me wondering (checked the heroic logs) is the the high dmg portion of AMs, based on a high proc rate.
The other arcane mage had a proc rate like it is typical expected.
Your proc rate is extremly high, which leads to this high overall dps.
The reduced casttime of x1.5 of AE leading to more casts is not compensating the two times higher proc rate of AB.

I've been thinking Time and Space currently has its own independent chance to proc AM, which may be unintended.
This would explain why when you get T&S casting AE procs AM outside of combat, because this independent chance also does not check if a target was hit first.
That may explain the unexpectedly high AM proc rate and why it may be a dps gain to just spam AE, but I haven't looked at the log myself.

I have noticed a double AM procs after casting AE once. This was the reason for me to try this playstyle.I've been thinking Time and Space currently has its own independent chance to proc AM, which may be unintended.
This playstyle may benefit from mastery and haste. I hope someone could write a good simcraft profile to test it out.
Im sorry for the low rate of replys and information from my side. I struggle with writting in english.

After some tests on dummy, AE can be better, but more too unstable. With a rotation that allow only 2 spells (3 with some haste proc) in between AE spam.
And Charged up works better than Resonance(single target), so we don't waste any AM if we get 2 stacks from AE after using barrage.
If whispers procs on burst, the thing really goes mad, and easy to mess.
Btw, i did it using 1x Torrential barrage(barrage dmg) 1x Aegwynn's wrath(Crit) 1xEthereal sensitivity relics(chance to active missiles). Maybe if i had 3xEthereal relic instead, could have been far better.
But overall i think it can be better than AB because of 4p t19.

Each damaging spellcast has a x% chance to activate AM. Arcane explosion has x% chance and Time and Space has x% chance.
You cant get 4 AM procs on 2 targets(??????!), and you cant get 2 procs instantly. It is staggered. Fucking use arcane explosion twice, you see the time and space explosion explodes after 0,5second after your original arcane explosion.
The reason why people think this is broken or bugged is because Time and Space has the same AM proc chance as AE. Jesus fucking christ.

AM proc is per execute, not per target hit. Rune? (Rune of Power?) has nothing to do with AM procs.

I've been slowly transitioning into Arcane after being primarily Fire this expac, playing this way has been quite entertaining although the sound of constant Arcane Explosions going off gets a little repetitive.

Hello guys. Finally decided to write something worthless (or not ^^)
I've tested this rotation myself and found it quite more useful then regular one. Though it's A LOT more boring. Now, i'm not man of the math, but here's my thoughts :
1 First of all due to this rotation you've to keep up with your time and space, or you risking to lose to regular rotation. That means that you've to cast your AE at least once 5.5-6sec. So some encounters like krosus, anomaly e.t.c may ask to you switch from AE rotation to regular one and back. In other words - do not use AE rotation mindlessly.
2 As for math for me it seems like sum of several variables. First of all it's AM proc.
I'm having 3 relics for AM proc+5% from tier bonus, and if i'm not mistaken it makes 7+5+15% - 27% regular proc. For AB it's 54%
For time of 1 AB i can cast ~2 AE, and damage is almost equal (in my case in my 907ilvl is 156026 for ab and 63637+12727,4)x2 =>152728,8 for double AE). Difference is, that 2AE give 4 chances for 27% proc for am, and, by my opinion, it's quite higher, while regular rotation give us 10% chance to proc of touch of magi (that's sweet too, but i personally prefer missles ^^)
Now what i'm most curious, and if some one can answer me i'd be mostly greatful - I THINK, that more you have haste , the less AE rotation profitable. I'm not sure at this at all, but i don't know how excatly global cd reduction works (shame on me). So techicly it is possibly better to switch to regular rotation during some huge haste buffs (whispers, bl, sephyz e.t.c) Any thoughts or calculations?
