Hey!

I am not 100 % sure what weapon i should use..
I have a 325 staff with versa/mastery
and a combination of a sword (340, haste, versa) and shield hand (325, krit haste)

i guess i should wear the sword and shield, right?
it is just confusing because when i compare weapons per shift, the staff says it makes more dmg per second.
hope you guys can help me out

I already did that, and it said sword + sh
But won't sim ALWAYS tell you to wear the higher itemlvl?

Don't you guys notice, when you compare let's say a 325 staff with a 340 sword it says the lower staff does more "damage per sec".
but u also have a shield-hand with stats, so when does is become bettet then the other?
What's the exactly meaning about that? I am curious.

well as always early on in a new exp. ilvl is king.
so basicly more int > 2nd stats. and i would assume that you 340 1h + 325 oh would yield you more int.

There is no functional difference between a staff or 1h+offhand.

An equal item level 1h+offhand will be exactly equal to a staff in terms of intellect and amount of secondary stats.

So, just pick the setup with best stats. (assuming equal item level). Best way is to just sim top gear on raidbots.

The "damage per second" listed on the weapon is the amount it hits for if you melee opponents with it, and makes no difference to your casting dps. Ignore it entirely. Your spells' damage is based on the stats of the weapon.
