For Siegecrafter Heroic,

Did you guys prefer Nether Tempest or Living Bomb for Anti-Missile strat, so when you keep getting the empowered Crawler Mines were you dotting up with NT or LB?

Cheers

As an Arcane Mage, I didn't spend too much time focusing the Crawler Mines, so I just took LB. If you want more Mine control, I've heard decent results with Frost Bomb. Nether Tempest doesn't seem worth it to me, since they seldom live anywhere near the full 12 second duration.

I ranked fairly decently during early progress and farm there by using a heavy barrage cleave tactic.
I would stack 4-5 AB's and barrage when there was mines with the occasional flame strike when they clumped heavily.

Frost Bomb is decent if you're spawning the mines close to the boss. However I feel like Living Bomb will grant you higher dps for fast kills (< 3mins).

Our mines die far too quickly for NT to be viable. LB for maximum single target damage on Siegecrafter.

Blizzard is a viable slow for the buffed mines, and RoF works as well.

I've never done this, but for maximum scumbag you would glyph CoC and stand in front of melee for AE/CoC when bombs come out. Your raid leader probably won't appreciate this.

Pls no laser targeterino. Ginvis and blame it on who gets targeted.

But actually you could if you're not an idiot with getting hit with mines but you would have to move out for laser target, which could be more of a loss than just staying at range and blizzarding but no way to really tell for sure.

a) Damage buff on mantid doesn't work (does get removed).
b) Teleportation does indeed cancel your cast, Ice Floes does not prevent it (at least didn't do so last reset for me will retest tonight)
c) For Thok, if you have Glyphed CoC: CoC > Fireblast > AE

Return to “Arcane”
