Yes it was mentioned in the arcane spec thread : https://www.altered-time.com/forum/view ... &start=120" target="_blank
Built a spreadsheet to display data I've produced recently on trinkets (also covers Fire too) from 840 to 880 versions in 10 ilvl steps.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing" target="_blank

Ran using the T19H profile (had to set up a variation to use trinket1 for the on-use trinkets), Patchwerk & all default settings.

The trinket theorycrafting and simming and trying to figure out what actually works is giving me an aneurysm.

I was just testing the Bough of Corruption 870 ilvl on Heroic Nyth and it was 8% of my damage, much more than the 3-5% the shock Baton gets on a good pull.
Are you saying simcraft is bugged?

Anyone has empirical ( playtesting, not just sims) recommendations on static trinkets?
The ones that are Int+Crit from WQ seem really good stat-wise. They might be more beneficial overall than most trinkets that dont have static Crit?

I wouldn't go far to say its bugged, but with the large amount of trinkets, and the variability of them with the WF/TF system, its possible there are holes.

Hey all,

I just got an 845 Narraxxas Spiked Tongue and an 865 Unstable Arcanocrystal this week. It looks like these are near BIS in some of the sims, but wanted your opinions. I replaced my 845 Horn of Valor with the Narraxxas spiked tongue, is that right?

Also if I ever get a Devilsaur Shock Baton which trinket would you suggest replacing?

Thanks all,
Mike

Hi guys.

So today the baton quest finally appeared again! yay!
I got 825 baton :( but heres my question.

Is the 825 baton better than a 850 Wriggling Sinew or a 875 Eye of Skovald?

Wriggling Sinew is bis, so no. The other one might be quite close, not sure about that.

Sinew is by far the best trinket for Fire.

As for Skovald vs. Baton, think of Skovald as the AoE/Cleave version of Baton. Use it for 2+ targets. For single target, Skovald may be better just because of the ilvl difference, but you'll have to sim yourself to find out. I believe that Baton is still the better choice for single target.

I'm currently using

Manacracker (840)
Shock-Baton (840)

Today I got Twisting Winds (880). I know that Twisting Winds is bad at the moment. But bad enough for it to be worse than Portable Manacracker despite a 40 ilvl difference?

what do you guys think about crit stat sticks. I have 855 stat stick, 845 skovald, 850 sinew, 855 tongue and 825 shockbaton. I am in a major clusterfuck about how to pair them

Keep the Sinew... after extensive testing with my 865 Sinew (paired with 845 Baton, 850 Oak, 855 Tongue, 850 Skovald, 850 Manacracker)... 865 Sinew and 845 Baton comes out on top.

For you I'd use the 855 Tongue and 865 Sinew but try to get yourself an 830+ baton to replace the tongue.

Is there any major difference between the eye of skovald trinket and devilsaur shock baton? Comparing them i can see the the proc of skovald is more damage at 3 targets. But everyone seems to always swear by the shock baton being the absolute best with no mention of the skovald trinket which at first glance, pretty much looks like an aoe version of the shock baton.

About 90% of what you hear as suggestions is suggestions on Patchwerk X 1 fights. There are some results of X 4 Frosted did in his thread but they aren't heard much. Thing is though that ST damage always has a value because there are a lot of multi target encounters with priority targets.

What about Icon of the Silver Crescent ??

Item level: 805
+788 critical strike.
Use: Increases Intellect by 4047 for 20 sec. (2 min CD).

Is it worth? It alligns perfectly Combustion (No Kindling), lasts 20 seconds, about the time of the double RoP (21.4s)

I am really curious about this one as well. I have not done any SIM since I frankly suck at it, anyone out there who might have?

I know for some tanks and str users, the 805 timewalk trinket is so good it is only outdone by 870+ trinkets. Definitely something for us mages to keep an eye on, too! :)
