Opener With Firestarter Question

Hi , i have a question regarding why and how to use firestarter.

So in the beginning of the expansion i never used firestarter because i always though bosses were above 90% hp for too little time,
but now with its rise in the sims i am left puzzled. Is it worth in normal and heroic , i saw a video from preach and he agreed with my initial
assumption that no its is not. But i am simply not sure . So is firestarter any good in normal and heroic ToS ST fights ?

The other part is what do i do during the firestarter period , do I just fire pyroblash fire blast/fireball chains until i the boss is under 90% ? do i fish for bracer procs and get into combustion combos as soon as i get one , or do i even wait for a bracer prog later into the 10% hp period?

A really great thing about this opener is that the http://www.wowhead.com/item=132406/marq ... e-sun-king have a high chance to proc due to the amount of http://www.wowhead.com/spell=48108/hot-streak generation we can achieve during the first 10% of the boss fight. We can then open the http://www.wowhead.com/spell=190319/combustion rotation with a hard cast http://www.wowhead.com/spell=11366/pyroblast to generate very large http://www.wowhead.com/spell=12654/ignite.

There are multiple ways you can open with http://www.wowhead.com/spell=205026/firestarter depending on how long the boss stays above 90%. You still want to have as many instant casts available during your first http://www.wowhead.com/spell=190319/combustion as possible but also not be sat on max stacks for extensive periods of time since it’s a waste to not have them recharging during that time. This also applies to http://www.wowhead.com/spell=153561/meteor but only to the extent where you would gain 1 extra http://www.wowhead.com/spell=153561/meteor charge in the entire fight.

The rules of the Firestarter opener are:

• 1. Float 1 http://www.wowhead.com/spell=194466/phoenixs-flames charge
  2. Float 1 http://www.wowhead.com/spell=60871/fireblast charge but aim to have 3 stacks going into http://www.wowhead.com/spell=190319/combustion
  3. Use http://www.wowhead.com/spell=153561/meteor during http://www.wowhead.com/spell=190319/combustion unless Target HP > 90% for a longer period of time (star augur). Otherwise, use asap and on cd.
  4. Combust the first cast which will land on the target where the Target HP < 90%.

Should we be using our bracer procs during the first 10% as well? Or should we be holding the, for the first combustion opening sub 90%.

Also, thoughts on sentinel medallion? Should that also be held until combustion or used on pull

Yes, auto crits mean use them during the pull. If it is close to combust time, you can wait a couple of seconds.

This is correct. There is never a case where you want to use a HS proc while the bracer proc is up for fear of munching.

I use this macro to both bust and owl at the same time (+ troll racial and thumb ring). It's a bit of a hassle since bust is usable while casting but the others aren't so you have to mash it a bit:

/cast Combustion
/cast Gnawed Thumb Ring
/use Tarnished Sentinel Medallion
/cast Berserking
/use Deployable Bullet Dispenser

Ive seen some logs where they hold both ROPs(with firestarter) until combust so they can get almost full 20 seconds of Owl under both ROP's, casting another mid combust with very high haste. What do you think of this?
