Fire Mage Stats

i read guides i've watched videos and they said to build 60%-65% critical for a good dps but i see some fire mage's play with haste/versatility/mastery and they do very good dps..i'm really confused about the stats

You can play any build you like with enough ilvl and get rank 1, provided you have a high amount of bracer procs. Crit is advised because it gives you the highest dps across all of your pulls on average.
