Troll Racial Berserking

I have macro'd Berserking (15% haste for 10 secs) to Combustion with the new mechanics this should give Combustion some extra ticks right for 10 secs along with some extra damage based on new haste mechanics before the next tick?

Thoughts? or should berserking be used in the pyro spam before combustion?

It's my understanding that combustion is one of the few spells that still snapshots?

So having the haste buff to build as high an ignite as possible seems like the ideal. It doesn't sound like haste would affect combustion dot at all. Maybe someone can confirm that for me.

Combustion snapshots ignite. it doesn't snapshot haste / crit. It's effected by it like every other DoT. Additionally, haste does nothing to ignite.

You used to get extra ticks from combustion depending on haste. having that haste for 10 seconds during the combust i thought it might add extra ticks at the time dynamically

You still do - it should be dynamic just like every other DoT.

So I did a dummy test without my helm on with berserking and without it .

Got 27 Combustion ticks with Berserking and 26 without.

Ofc since the haste will increase your tickrate. But it also does it if u apply combustion, and then proc the helm. No need to waite for the haste proc (except getting a higher ignite stack out of it).

only took the helm off for testing purposes so it wouldnt proc at different times during the test, was testing berserking and since haste is dynamically applied was interested to see how much 10 seconds was worth in the window of the combustions 20 seconds
