Rotcrusted Voodoo Doll

I got Rotcrusted Voodoo Doll the other day and have noticed that it does not benefit from Combustion or from Rune of Power.
It does seem to have an internal crit chance that is around my chance to crit, 30%, though.
Have any of you played with this thing?
I'm currently using it 20 seconds after my Balefire Branch + Combustion series, because Balefire Branch and Voodoo Doll put each other on 20 sec cd.

I think the crit chance is purely your character crit chance. I tested it many times during dummy sessions yesterday and sat around 50 % crit chance with my character at 50 % crit. It's a decent trinket but will always be a little bit less good for fire because it doesn't benefit from combustion. It's not bad but better for frost as frost does not have a ''window'' like fire does where piling on buffs is so noticeable.
