Altered Time - your #1 World of Warcraft Mage resource!

Looking to level an alt and i love Fire mage play style. Is there a non mage spec that play similar in PVE ? Will not be doing any PVP.

Fire is unique.

I picked fire mage because I loved wotlk destroyer lock. No idea how destro works now, but I’d check them out

You can also try elemental shaman, I know it's not the same but you have some similarities.

I think that Shadow priest is better.

I've found I like proc-based classes a lot because it keeps the rotation at least a little dynamic. I've mostly played fire mage but I mixed it up a bit recently with a few melee classes and I love how outlaw rogue plays. Obviously it's a lot different from fire because of melee and whatnot but rolling the bones really scratches that 'fishing for procs' itch. There's also the opportunity procs and all the cooldown reductions on using combo points.

I agree with outlaw rogue. You also might like ww monk. If you’re like me, you enjoy proc chances, and actually having to think about your prio while playing. Both super fun classes
