Artifact 7.2 loss of dps

I am not as expereinced as most of you guys but I had 51 points in my traits and now after the new artifact I have lost somewhere in the region of 40K dps not a happy bunny at all

Anyone else noticed this?

Did you put your first point into the 10% damage trait? It's the first one of the new section of traits that you unlock when you get your AP refunded. That should help a bit. Also worth considering, when you did your testing there was a bug with input stuff it sounded like and there was a confirmed bug with frozen orb not stopping on contact so it would fly through an enemy and not stop at them to keep generating FoF charges. That could have impacted it as well.

Yes I did, I followed the guide in icy veins and put the first point there and the next 3 in Obsidian Lance now I need to grind 22 million for the next point LOL

Frozen orb is bugged, so you dont get its damage nor its FoF procs, wait till fix to test

I did a dungeon a few hours ago and there it was fixed. The orb stuck around my targets like it used to, instead of whisking away to a far away land like earlier today

Im not sure it's fixed yet. For me it sticks around some times and some times not (more often it does *not* stick around). It does not stick around for me on Mage class hall target dummies.

I can confirm, still bugged like 75% of the times.

Yeah it is bugged still, I have reported it twice so it should be probably a couple days till they fix it

It was getting stuck for me like this all the time during 7.1.5

Frozen Orb is a poorly-designed ability that should have been fixed 5 months ago. The coding for it isn't right and it's one of the most unreliable abilities in the game. It's a roll of the dice whether it's going to get stuck somewhere, pass through a pack, stop at the outside of a pack and only hit 1 mob, stop at your intended target or continue slowly moving through it...or do something altogether unexpected.

There's SO much variability with it and it's so important to our rotation that it sometimes feels like you're playing Outlaw rogue.

Amoc, you forget the scenario where a target is dashing across a fight so the orb stops moving but doesn't generate a FoF, so you get 0 out of it.

It's still bugged as of midnight MST last night/this morning. I noticed it pretty consistently on M Botanist. I wasn't paying much attention on M Star Auger afterwards, but I think it's safe to assume it hadn't changed.

It works most of the times for me in mythic dungeons and LFR (read MOST of the time as in not ALL the time) now but while soloing out in the world it's still as broken as it was from the start of 7.2

Yeah, I just had my frozen orb zip right through phase 3 of Botanist. So I know there were enough targets to snap onto. Good thing our rotation isn't prioritized around FoF charges or anything

Any thoughts on playing GS until they fix this? It really screws with your IV uptime.
