Warcraft Log Analysis

Hello Mages,

I apologize in advance if this topic has been discussed already. In an attempt to better understand frost, I have been looking at the logs of some top preforming mages. During my studies I have noticed some abnormal use of Flurry in particular.

Take this snip1 for example. Two Flurry casts ~.5 sec apart. Why no IL in between? Now with more detail.

Here are the same two Flurry’s cast but no Brain Freeze proc in between. Is warcraft logs missing the BF gain?

This happens multiple time throughout the fight. In snip3, again we see no Brain Freeze gain in-between casts.

Here in snip4, I only count two Flurry casts but there are three iterations of damage, all with the exact same value. Very confusing.

Is there something I am missing when trying to analyze these logs? Please let me know

For the last one,
Flurry hits 3 times - what you are seeing in the 2nd screenshot is the three individual damage portions - thats how the logs report it. Whats interesting is the trinket that gives the Spectral Bolt - seems to fire 3 times for a flurry.
He does cast flurry only once - the legendary helm gains only stack. So, its likely that the casts are being reported twice (one for the first and one for the 2nd & 3rd missiles)

These double Flurry casts are different spells. One is 44614 (the one in your spellbook), the other is 228354 (the one that deals damage). You can safely ignore the latter.
