[6.0] Alternative frost "rotation".

Looks like they're nerfing frostbolt by 20%, probably before our raid

it's for beta balance at level 100. They don't really care about level 90. They only make it perform "ok" at level 90.

Frostbolt nerfed by 20%, please re-save the spreadsheet and try again with your stats to see when you can ignore ice lances again. (I highly doubt most people will be able to ignore it outside of bloodlust)

Well, I saved and modified the spreadsheet and it says that I can ignore FoF-Il while BL is casted but I don't have KTT. Should I cast FoF-IL ?

The value you input into multistrike should reflect not having KTT, so spreadsheet still applies.

It's mostly dead as a constant "rotation", but still remains true that with Unstable Magic specced on single target, you will not want to cast Ice Lance any buff which grants haste or multistrike, unless it will hit more than one target.
Worth running the spreadsheet again with your stats to make sure though.

So are this changes live already? or they must reset the servers first? i was doing like 6k dps over my simc dps, the "ignore ice lance" rotation was hella strong, this nerf means this rotation is dead? can someone confirm this, and does the stat priorities stay the same? or haste takes more value now?

Not live on EU.

Just use the spreadsheet to see when it works for your character. Most characters will only ignore ice lances during bloodlust/meta/icy veins.

Using the spreadsheet with my character, ice lance is still useless during BL/meta/UM, the only moment when ice lance is useful is when BL and Meta arent up and u arent using UM, u guys should get something similar assuming im far from bis gear, so ignoring ice lance is not as strong as before, but its still stronger.

PS: My bad, when using UM, ice lance is stronger even with meta up, but during BL/icy + meta, fb+ffb is stronger, its very situational right now, i can use ice lances now yay

to be fair, even if you had not done it wrong, Bloodlust or Meta not being up is a fairly common scenario

yeah, its safer to only forget ice lance during BL+Meta+Icy veins burst, in any other scenario using ice lance is stronger, at least for my char

At this point I will be just staying Frost. I will also be leveling as frost anyways. Getting tired of swapping specs every week and wasting gold just for that spec to receive level 100 changes. And frost is very fun for me.

^ This, switched to fire when prepatch was live, then back to frost when frost got buffed and fire nerfed, and now im not changing spec again, frost dmg isnt that awfull anymore so meh

It's a good way to stay sharp playing all specs. At least i have had alot of fun switching specs trying to master the small changes(mostly talents).
