Spamming frostbolt

Hi, is it a problem when you spamcast frostbolt into glacial spike. But when Brain Freeze procs I always accidentally cast a new frostbolt before casting glacialspike into flurry. I also have this problems sometimes when I get to 5 icicles and I get a Brainfreeze proc on the 5th icicle and then I start casting Ebonbolt while already having brainfreeze. Is it ok to just Shatter the Ebonbolt? Or how do I avoid this problem at all?

If it procs while you're casting Frostbolt, just cast GS right after it.
If it procs while you're casting Ebonbolt, just shatter it and proceed with shattering GS.
There's an argument for cancelling frostbolt in the first scenario, but the dps gain is very small.
