I know most of this depends on gear/azerite, but curious if crit affects brain freeze procs in any way, or if there is some base wanted level we want. I've been simming with ~17% crit, and if I go much over that with current gear, it starts pushing crit towards the bottom and wants mastery (probably mostly due to flashfreeze x2, and possible also due to swirling sands x1). Ever since I've dropped crit down a little due to gear upgrades, it seems like I'm getting less BF procs, but maybe just RNG. Just curious if there's something I'm missing. Thank you.

The only stat that affects BF proc generation is haste.
The reason you're seeing crit drop is because Frost generally wants a balance of all stats (except mastery). If you have too much crit over other stats, it's value will drop in relation to the other stats.

Mastery is on par now because of the icicles going into GS and FF
