I'm looking for some clarification on stats as I just switched back into frost.

Every sim I run, with the exception of hectic add cleave, show that Mastery is my #2 secondary stat, instead of haste. I do not have my 4 piece, ring, or the top two trinkets yet. I am running it at "good" skill level. Am I doing something wrong in my sim or will this change as I get these key pieces of gear?

You shouldn't mess with the skill level in the sim.

You don't have tome trinket, is why.

Without 4 PC and ToSW, this isn't surprising. Haste only gains momentum once you have those two, because it allows for for quicker generation and use of procs. Without those two, it's not going to be a strong secondary stat.

So, I've been digging around for a bit, and I'm not finding it anywhere, but does anyone have good info on what BiS is including crafted gear? Or does the BiS take crafted gear into account? I'm an Engineer/Tailor, but, I don't mind buying what I need.

Thanks, I'm glad I ran into this page while struggling on Mannoroth (Who I still don't understand how to do better on -- we run AOE ranged heavy, and I'm a frost mage. Frankly I feel like I should just sit on Manny and leave the imps and fels to the rest. Is that a jerk move? I feel like it's a jerk move.)

You will obviously do way less dmg on imps than other classes. However, you can still spec ice nova for it and deal decent dmg. If you really want to minmax your dmg on them you can also freeze the imps for even more ice nova dmg.

As it goes to infernals, you wont be top as well, but you can do decent dmg here, but where frost shines is the killing the doomlord while still maintaining the dps on boss (mythic mostly).

I have a question about Tome of Shifting Words as Frost, since I normally play Arcane. When it says for Ice Lances used "immediately" after Frostbolt, do we know what kind of time frame "immediately" involves?

Is there a hidden buff for this that could be tracked with a Weak Aura?

As far as I recall it is 0.9s.

Any news regarding how big the buff to the Undead racial has been? I haven't seen any "official" sims so far, but maybe someone here more proficient with SimCraft than me has done some sims themselves?

SimC is a good tool but isn't the game. It's help a lot but should be taken with caution even if it help a lot.

Personal feeling worth as much as TC.

Are there any caps I should be aware of for frost, outside of what I've seen being a crit cap at 36.33%? Are there any haste breakpoints prior to having 4pc + tome? I have seen small mentions of caps for other stats, but nothing firm like I've seen for crit.

No, there are no significant caps or breakpoints of which we realistically need to be aware of apart from the crit softcap which we won't reach without crit trinkets anyway.

I'm not so sure about that. After I obtained a ToSW (rolled at least 20 coins on the damned overgrown goat) last week i started to get really weird results in simc (i compile it from the master, maybe thats why) - with my current gear it showed that haste was edging MS in stat weights, by a non-error-bar margin (somewhat substantial, almost 0.7 or even 1).

After i saw that, i simply changed all enchants/gems to haste ones inside the sim profile, and it went back to the usual MS>haste>else looks, while the average DPS actually decreased. I ran it through reforge plots and it showed something close to a waveform at -500+500 range, with haste value plummeting downwards at the extreme ends of the curve (which is weird, in my layman eyes). What's interesting, simple +stat plots showed that both haste and MS are almost equal in terms of added DPS. I was not sure what i should do, so i left everything as it is.

Questions about trinkets and other stuff:

1) I dont have the prophecy, should i keep ToSB and Gaze for multitarget fights (like Iskar or mythic assault, if we start it this week), or it's not worth it? The only other decent trinket I have is the mythic microcrucible with a socket.
2) Regarding to ToSB - is it always better to weave or if there's _some_ adds and possibility to cleave, can it be better to dump 1 lance without weaving to get it to 3 or 2 and then get back to it? After i perused the ToSB logs , i noticed that quite a lot procs were lost because of weaving.
