no, but you can easily take the apl, plug it into SimC, and put your gearset in and then use

Due to the fact it's got flat INT on it it'll be ok, but the proc probably isn't very strong.

Did a bit of relic testing. Using Hellfreeze's profile and 25k iterations:

FYI: ilvl noted here is weapon ilvl, not relic ilvl. So a +10 ilvl is something around +30 to +35 relic level

My takeaway from doing this is just how powerful Icy Caress is, even when using standard rotation on 4 enemies. At some point the blizzard relic will do more damage, but... well that requires more testing, and a slightly adjusted APL that properly uses it on aoe.

Today I started gearing for this and running mythics with this. Gosh dang I am impressed. Sitting at 863 ilvl and 3 icy caress frostbolt damage relics, I really can not go wrong. My relic is level 28 and I went It's cold outside before going Ice Age/Clarity of thought but I have 2 in ice age and 1 in clarity, my next point will go into clarity (I think). Unless someone recommends Ice Age for some reason. I also have Icy Hand but prior to this I was a Crit/Haste Lonely Winter Build.

I have tried RoF/FrostBomb/TV build or even with BC instead of RoF and I hate the play style, sometimes it really under performs and hits like a wet noodle.

Couple questions - during Rune of Power - is it better to icelance /brainfreeze if you get procs or continue with frostbolt/glacialspikes and save them for the second rune and dump it with the frozen orb or after the second rune?

There is actually a small gain to ice lance outside of ROP at 2/3 stacks of CR, but it is <1%. It is also a very small gain to FO, but only outside of ROP.

If you want to press less buttons and not worry about IL and FO, you will still do very close to optimal DPS with this build.

Because on dummy with 33 crit chance I am about 15-20 percent crit hits of GS on 6 min fights. And this make very big difference in overall dps.
I am very affraid of very crit GS depend build here in 5-7 min boss fight.
Yesterday i did with this build on ursoc 340k dps (crit chance 30 percent) and I hit only 2 glacial spikes as a CRIT during one encounter. Sad.

I really dont want to believe in this sentence : "This build will work on 15+ mins boss fights"

Take the profile, plug it into SimC, set thee settings you want, and you will get what you're asking for.

The SimC report will give you all the information you're asking. You can also attempt to find a log with it.

Preheat's alt has also ran GS spec on a few other encounters.

The build has an extreme variance. The dps comparison chart shows that with the margins. This build is not more efficient, consistent, or damaging than Thermal Void Frost builds, but this build does require much less skill to play.

Pretty much. The actual breakpoint may be +9, or perhaps even closer to +8, but that's still a ton of relic ilvl. Remember that +8 weapon ilvl is something around 25** relic ilvl, so it's pretty significant.

Is there a mastery cap? Not that I have found. There are some breakpoints where Crit and Mastery are equal to each other in stat weights.

I have the exact same experience, it seems like GS crit chance is bugged. With 25% crit I am seeing openers with 8-10 non crit GS in a row ~50% of the time, which makes this build a joke.

But yeah, looking at data from a whole raid, crit % is as expected. However, this build is RNG to the extreme which IMO makes it completely non viable for DPS checks on progression. It's like the opposite of old frost - reliable, sustained damage. Instead we get swings of hundreds of thousands depending on procs and crits of specific spells.

I tried doubling my mastery almost.. going from 45% to 82%. SimC with the latest profile shows a 2k increase in DPS.

Don't really understand this.

When I scaled at 45% it showed mastery just slightly ahead of haste, int and crit in fact.

I've tried it on M Nythendra with crit>>mastery gear and results were very subpar. Like 180-200k dps. Using Hellfreeze's rotation of only GS,proc-Flurry,FB. And ended up killing her with 290k in fire.

Idk, maybe I'm doing something wrond. I later rearranged artifact traits and checked on the dummy. It was ~210k dps which is pretty low. But I lack FB relics, maybe thats the case?
