After a lot of playing with the new golden it seems like the clone and the arcane explosion can both proc arcane missiles, meaning the chance doubled to get a AM proc from AB = AM proc from AE.

Wouldn't this mean to always use AE on 2+ targets? Before the reason was, even tho you do more damage, you get more AM procs from using AB.

Just saw it, only discussion is that you can fish for AM procs before a fight tho.

My guess is that the clone has a proc chance and it doesnt matter if it hits a mob or not while the normal AE also has a proc chance which is mob dependant. Also noticed I get 2 AM procs in a super quick succession sometimes.

I don't know if it would still be worth it since I feel like mana consumption is way higher spamming AE instead of AB. You'd need to get in melee too. But yeah if you need to dps on the move it's still a lot better than before to spam AE.

Actually AE is more mana friendly than spamming AB. my AE does 2,1dmg per mana and my AB does 3,1. So I'd so 4.2dmg per mana on 2+ targets.

I think you got your answer ahah. As long as your RL strat let's you get in melee it's AE > AB right now I guess! Not really a fan of the design but yeah DPS > design I suppose.

Might aswell bring another melee to the fight seeing how strong they are right now! Logs > Mechanics ;^)

Did you read the the above posts? They clearly state that it appears to be that AE>AB on 2 targets, because the AM proc chance is now the same as AB. There is no mention of ST.

I was certain it was AE on 2+ targets anyway, even before this trait.

Prior to this AB was still better because of AM procs.

I did some testing, with the gear I am wearing in the videos my Arcane explosion does 321k dmg and AB 645k.

AM proc cost;
AB 380k mana
AE 253k mana

Dmg per 1% mana;
AB 3,2
AE 2,4

I actually tried out if just arcane explosioning was viable in pure ST. Dmg turns out to be suprisingly pretty good.

Someone can probably calculate if its worth just using arcane explosion on singletarget with AM dmg.
