Stat weights confusion

Ok so I've always been told and read that mastery and versatility are two of our worse traits but when I sim myself it comes up as my top two stats needed.. here is latest sim https://www.raidbots.com/simbot/report/ ... XFAfscvJZ7 When I do sim for diff gems its telling me to change my crit to vers and ring enchants to Mastery and crit. So am I at a point where mastery becomes useful?


OK so after some testing im even more confused.. First sim is with Crit/haste pants.. Second sim is from Vers/mastery pants that sim tells me to use.. why is the one its suggesting lower dps?

Most of the time when I sim myself, vers is in the top 2, so that is not out of the ordinary. As for the mastery, I believe that it is simming so high based on you having 3X Flash Freeze.

For the second part, I believe the reason for the lower dps sim is due to you have comet storm on the first sim and splitting ice on the 2nd sim.

@brantdman... now I feel like an idiot.. started testing before jumping in a mythic and finished after hence the CS/SI change... no wonder different outcomes.. As far as mastery with flash freeze x3 should i just ignore the mastery stat and go for crit/vers?

Mastery comes up last on my sims.... weird. With 3 FF too. I've barely paid attention to secondaries this exp. I have pawn up and running but it rare anything bar rings defies ilvl

Yeah, that's why you will want to sim yourself often. Right now, the only consistent thing I've found is crit/vers are in the top 3 on every sim. Mastery increases as FF goes up, but it will typically be second to last below intellect.
